No CPL. Need to know injector setting and procedure for a Cummins Big Cam 400. I have a manual for and have rebuilt a Cummins 444 with STC injectors. My manual does not give me injector information on the 400 BIg Cam. I know that this is not an STC set up and I know it is not a small cam. I would appreciate any ideas on how to set the injectors.
Are there any problems with the 444 Cummins?
Yes, some people had some trouble with the cooling but pretty sure most of it was related to radiators leaking thru the baffles. The 444 was the first Cummins with step-timing. You probably won’t work on it yourself but the really best trick is setting the injectors the old way, outer base circle. 75 in-lbs on the downstroke.
