If you take the side cover off (right hand side of transmission housing under the seat) and run the tractor (DON’T PUT YOUR HANDS INSIDE WHILE THE TRACTOR IS RUNNING), put the position control lever to UP. Look inside for any obvious leaks – particularly the stand pipe or lift cylinder.

Is there a problem with my Massey 35?
Xolani V. I am having similar problems with my massey 35. When first starting the tractor the 3 pth lifts but not very fast. After using it for say 10 minutes of cultivating at a set depth the 3 pth will drop all the way down and will not lift back up except if you backup with the tractor, then it lifts but just very slowly and not all the way up.
Can a MF 283 tractor hold no weight?
The MF 283 It will lift now the remotes work but it lifts slow and can’t hold no weight and when you turn the tractor off they bleed strait down. Any help
