How big is a Peterbilt front fill fuel tank?

How big is a Peterbilt front fill fuel tank?

We have a wide selection of new style and old style aluminum fuel tanks in front fill, center fill or rear fill options and 42 gallon to 150 gallon capacities. Cap it off, strap it in and protect your purchase with a tank cover or other aftermarket accessory.

Why is my 98 Pete’s fuel level always lower?

NOT! From day 1, your 98 Pete’s tanks never had the same fuel levels as long as the engine is running. Going down the road, the drivers side tank level is most always lower. In addition to the fuel lines, in the top of each tank is a pressure equalizing vent which is probably the culprit.

What to do when fuel is not coming out of tank?

Disconnect return line on top of tank and see if fuel is returning to tank with the truck running. If so you should have a shut off valve on the bottom of both tanks, turn them both off and remove the fuel lines. Then open valves one at a time and see that when fuel comes out of the valve it is at the same height on both valves.

Why is fuel not drawing from passenger side tank?

The only time neccessary to replace the splitter valve as you call it (actually it’s an equalizer block, is if it has been damaged via line removal, bad threads, or gasket leak that won’t seal with a new gasket. The valve (block) itself has no moving parts. The only reason it has a sealed top to it was for machining purposes.

How often does a truck run out of fuel?

Discussion in ‘ Peterbilt Forum ‘ started by crowbar1020, Dec 29, 2011 . i have a 98 pete 379 with 150 gal tanks. In the last year the motor has ran out of fuel twice because of the tanks not leveling the fuel out.
