Is the fuel pump on the Deutz f3l1011 working?
It does have a fuel pump that is working properly. I am getting fuel to all the injection pumps. This motor has individual injection pumps for each injector. The fuel cut off solenoid is working, at least I have voltage to it and can hear and feel it pop open when the key is turned on.

Why does my Deutz f3l1011 not start?
If you are getting fuel to the inlet side of the nozzle there is something not allowing the high pressure to build. Usually this is a helix covered by the fuel shutoff not allowing injection cycle to occur. If you could post a photo of what you have it may be helpful.
Where is the polarity on a Deutz engine?

Loosen the injector lines, one at a time, going to the injectors and run the starter until all of the air is gone and you see fuel. Tighten all of the lines and try it. It is best to loosen the injector line at the injector, so you will get all of the air out of the line. As Dave states but a lot of “Deutz” engines use an electric fuel cutoff.

What to do when a tractor is blowing black smoke and has?
This can clog up the fuel injector pump and interfere with functioning. Also, if you consistently let the fuel level get very low, the injector and pump will not have sufficient lubrication to work, and the fuel will not be delivered at the pressurized level that it should be.

Why does my diesel engine have blue smoke?
Blue engine smoke is the rarest type of smoke emanating from a diesel engine. The presence of blue smoke is an indication of burning oil. Blue smoke should not be ignored but is common when starting an engine in a cold weather. The oil thins out when it is cold and some could escape into the cylinder and be burnt.

What to do if your Deutz engine is not firing?
On some models the shut down solenoid must be actuated (energized) to allow fuel to pass to the injection pump, but on some other Deutz’s I’ve seen the shut down solenoid will hold the rack in the no fuel position untill energized. In either case Cutting Edge is correct. The coil has failed, if in fact that is the problem.

Is there a fuel solenoid on a Deutz?
Yes it has the fuel solenoid. To start it, flip toggle to “on” and push button. On what I’m pretty certain is the oil pressure switch it has 2 wires to it. I started the machine and put both wires together (not on switch) to bypass it and it still dies.
