The hydraulic case vent is on the end of a tube hanging down under the seat adjuster. If you overfill it, as the fluid warms up it expands and if the case is overfilled, it will push it out through the vent.

The hydraulic components in my Bobcats are sauer/sundstrand/danfoss and the manufacturers recommend the #68 hydraulic oil. I have used that stuff for years and never had a problem. One thing though, the orangish Bobcat oil seems to react with other oils and form a strange, cloudy mix.
