Why does the AC go off on my Colorado?
I have a 2009 Colorado with the 2.9 i4 automatic 2wd w/traction control. I got the A/C OFF message and my coolant gauge would hit zero and it would come and go and even sometimes go away with just a restart. no overheating no noticeable performance loss… So I had code ran on it at autozone, had them hand me the scanner and cleared my codes.
When does the AC off warning come on?
One thing after another, now AC off & temp gauge does not work. I have an 08 chevy Colorado. Its doing the same thing. My temp gauge does not work and the A/C off warning comes on even in the morning when it’s cold. It started working awhile, then started again.
Why does the instrument cluster shut off intermittently while driving?
The batt light goes on and the entire instrument cluster (spedo fuel turbo temp etc ) shuts off .. when it’s off the climate control won’t work and the sun roof won’t work . Sometimes the abs light comes on before it shuts off. Turns on and off intermittently. I’ve checked fuses and cleaned battery connections and ground connections .. please help
Why does the AC off light keep coming on?
On my way back the “AC OFF” light came on, the temp gauge dropped down to cold and the AC stopped working. The next day after coming back home, I started the car in the morning, the gauge moved spontaneously and the AC started working. Ever since that day this keeps on happening every now and then.

Iv’e got it now, 08 Colorado 5 cyl, bought it for my daughter for a reliable vehicle, starting to wounder if it was the right decisions. One thing after another, now AC off & temp gauge does not work. I have an 08 chevy Colorado. Its doing the same thing.
Why does my car Tell Me the coolant sensor is bad?
If the engine coolant temp sensor is bad it could give a false signal to the PCM, making it think the engine is hot and causing the message. Since you aren’t overheating I don’t see any reason not to drive the truck until you get home and can visit the dealer.

A/c off and engine temperature gauge is a problem I have on my h3 hummer 2008 as well. I changed my coolant temperature sensor too but that didn’t work. I accidentally found out that when I play with the hvac knob the a.C light Engine temp. Gauge acts crazy causing my a.C to turn off.

I know my guage is working fine – it’s been moving and reading normal temps – but the AC Off warning has stopped popping up. No other relating warning ever popped up. (only the low tire pressure warning, but it’s getting cold here).
