Why does my radiator fan run full speed when I start the car?
Immediately upon starting the car, the radiator fan begins to run full speed, even though the car is stone cold. The AC is OFF. The radiator and condenser are BRAND NEW. This problem existed before and after the radiator was replaced. The fan continues to run at its maxiumum speed, regardless of the engine temperature.
Where is the relay on a radiator fan?
The fan relay is often located in the engine bay’s fuse box, but the best way is to check your repair manual to find where it is located. Testing a 4 pin relay is often very straightforward. Remove the relay and give 12 volts to pin 30 and 85. Ground pin 86 and check if there is voltage coming out from pin 87.
Is it true that my car fan is roaring?
Yes it is roaring. Its like the fan is staying on all the time. It will be loud when you first start, especially if cold (winter), as it takes a little bit for the fan clutch to “warm up” and disengage when its not needed. As others have said, if the clutch fails, it usually fails in the locked position.

Why does my Dodge Ram run when the AC is on?
Even when it is cold outside, the condenser fan for the AC will run when the AC is on. I noted it was loud on both my old gen 3 and my 2017. Do you have your defrost on? The fan will come on with defrost no , ac is not one, defrost is not on. something is not right, either a relay got stuck in on position or the temp sensor has lost its mind.
