Why does my car heater blow cold while running?

Heater blows cold while in idle but hot while running. I’ve read about air in the cooling system as a common cause for Nissan Frontiers (and Titans). It has a pressurized coolant reserve tank and no bleeder valve. Is there a good way to bleed the system of air?

What’s the temp of a car heater at idle?

I bled the coolant system as much as possible, was able to get some air out and top off the system. It warms up quick and stays at a steady temp, but heat still blows cool (maybe a little better…). It blows at about 70 degrees at idle (an can melt your face off while driving).

Why is my air conditioner not blowing cold air?

The first culprit of your car air-conditioning not giving off cold air when the car idling is the lack of air flow in the condenser. What you can do is check whether the electric cooling fan that sits beside the condenser is running. Check whether the electrical connections for the condenser fan is connected and seated firmly. 2.

What to do when your Chevy Impala heater blows cold air?

Turn the heater on wait for about 1min then press the gas petal and try to hold it at around a thousand rpm on and off about three times and heat should be blowing out really hot by then. 8 people found this helpful.

Why does the AC blow warm at idle?

Since the AC compressor is driven by the engine, it doesn’t pump as much refrigerant when you’re at a stop or driving slowly. If the system is low on refrigerant, it will show up as AC blows warm at idle and blows colder when the engine is running at higher RPMs. Get your system refrigerant level checked.
