Why does my fuel tank gauge keep bouncing?

The gauge is only a means of registering the output from the potentiometer in the fuel tank. A bouncing gauge will be the result of fuel sloshing in the tank more so than the gauge itself. This is my first time on this site so I’m not sure how to post, but I have a problem in this area.
