I pried out the push pin then reached down from up top and was able to grab the wiring harness close to the sensor and pull it up far enough to get a grip and remove the sensor from the connector. To reinstall I had to used double sided tape to hold the push pin to a flat head dowel to line it up to the hole and push in to lock the sensor in place.
