Why is the ABS light on and the Speedo not working?

After a recent jump start my daughter’s 1993 C180 developed 2 problems. The ABS light stayed on and the speedo didn’t work. A search of the forums suggested resetting the car by disconnecting the battery but that didn’t work.

Why are ABS and engine light still on?

Run it around to heat the engine up and shift thru all gears incl Reverse. Then turn off all accessories/lights, etc. Make sure A/C is off and transmission is in Park (automatic) or in Neutral for a Manual & release clutch. Do Key On Engine Off (KOEO) portion first.
