It’s a fairly simple fix. Remove the glove box and the passenger side blend door actuator motor and gear is just inside to the left. Shouldn’t cost more than $150-$200 to replace with parts and labor included by a good cheap independent tech. There’s several good posts in these forums explaining exactly how to do it.

You are not accessing the blend doors inside the air box. You are replacing the actuator motor and gear mounted to the outside of the air box with two T20 screws. If you do not want to tackle it yourself… find a cheap mechanic on Craigslist for $25 to $30 an hour labor.
