The connections within the 4×4 selector switch on the dash go bad and cause the Servvice 4×4 light to come and occasionaly cause unwanted switches from 2wd to 4wd and vice versa….pick up a new switch…$50 and 10mins of install time and the problem is fixed Service 4WD and system stability disabled light come on.
