Why does my Dodge Caravan heater not work?
Why does my Dodge Caravan heater not work?
I have a 2009 dodge caravan and the heat will work for a couple of minutes and then slowly go to cold. Back does not blow heat at all only cool air and coolant is filled. I have to play with the controls by turning to defrost and then back to the vent for it to go hot again. Any suggestions what could be wrong? 44 people found this helpful.

What does the thermostat on a Dodge Caravan do?

What happens if you don’t have enough coolant in your caravan?
While not having enough coolant may make your engine run hotter, it can also cause your Caravan to not be able to create enough heat. Is there isn’t enough line pressure, due to low coolant, then the heater core will not be able to get any coolant itself.
