Remove the four 1/2″ center console bracket bolts by sliding the seat all the way forward to access the rear bolts, and all the way back to access the front bolts. Disconnect the two electrical plugs underneath the seat. Remove the seat belt from the center console. And finally, pull the seat out of the truck by tilting it forward. Figure 1.

Why does my power seat not go back?

My seat wont go back anymore, it’ll go forward (found out last nite at the carwash) but not back. I moved the seat forward to vacuum under the seat and now it wont go back. Mine went up, but wouldn’t go down, I unscrewed the cover of the motor and was able to use a vise-grip and manually turn the rod to get it to activate.
