What should I do if my OBD port is not working?
Everyone recommends checking the main cab fuse as it powers the obd port. It’s still good. Ecu does it’s self check upon start up and truck still runs perfect, so Ecu is unlikely the issue. I’m running out of ideas. It has an aftermarket radio installed by previous owner.

This connector is located on the left side (driver’s side) of the dash near the central timer module on the right hand side (passenger side of the steering column) where the large loom goes over the steering column. Look here for joint connector 5:

Check the 15A “CIG” fuse under the hood, that is what powers the DLC, if that fuse is not blown then you have a very od problem, wiring problem maybe If I recall correctly you need to check fuse 41 under the hood. As stated earlier the accessory outlets are on a different circuit from the cig lighter which also powers your OBD port.

Why does my OBDII cigar lighter not work?
I noticed that my primary cigar lighter is listed as “Cigar lighter/OBDII” in the Owners Manual. I proceeded to check the lighter and it doesn’t work. I then pulled the fuse box cover and checked the fuse and it’s good. Even replaced it with a known good fuse, but still no power to the Cigar lighter or the OBDII port.
Why is my OBDII reader not working in my car?
He even took an OBDII reader and plugged it in to the port in my car to show me that the port is not working, the machine was not even powering up at all.
