Where does the clicking noise come from in my car?

I have recently started hearing a clicking noise (almost exactly like the noise a blinker signal makes) that is coming from behind the dash board on the passengar side of the car between the glove compartment and center console area. I can’t identify why it starts, but have noticed that it usually occurs when the a/c is turned off.

Why does my Mercedes make a tapping noise when I start the car?

It makes the taps when the car is started, even if the AC is off. The taps are the climate control unit normalizing the servos. I checked out the info on the AC system, but it doesn’t give any hints as to how to remove the dash assemby.

How to fix tapping or knocking noise behind the passenger?

If you’ve started to hear a continuous clicking/tapping/knocking noise behind the passenger side of your dashboard on your Chrysler 200 then this is the fix. To temporarily stop the tapping noise just push the first round knob on the left of your AC, the recirculation light will come on and the tapping will stop.
