Why is the ABS light on on my Ram 1500?
My truck just came up with the ABS light on, traction control, service 4wd and BAS something. What happened is that the parking brake hardware totally snapped and the shoes were horrible, resulting in the ABS ring getting chewed up. To replace the ABS ring my entire drive side axel needs to be replaced.

For a week or so, every once in a while The ABS, ESP/BAS, Service 4WD, and Traction Control lights come on. I also get a message that the Parking Assist system is off when this happens. Occasionally, this is accompanied by the ABS system pulsing the brakes even though I am not in need of its assistance.

Why are the lights not working on my Dodge Ram?
It is a small wire harness running to each wheel. Grab the connector and wiggle it around, and make sure they are tight. Due to the connector being mounted low to the ground, sometimes they become dirty or corroded, not making contact. Do this on both sides and see if the lights turn off.
