The problem started with the ABS & brake lights on the dash coming on. The ABS system failed and the speedometer would only work after a speed of about 30 MPH. It eventually failed totally and as a result the cruse control and odometer no longer worked. At first I replaced the vehicle speed sensor on the Transmission housing. No luck with that.
