The dealer found a Chevrolet “Field Action” for the vehicle that indicated the transfer case shift control module required reprogramming. The “Service 4WD” message appeared on the driver info screen. Some of the vibration issues being reported could be that the truck is stuck in 4WD – that causes steering wheel vibration at highway speeds.

So the only things that tell the truck to go into 4WD is by hitting the button/switch (which I am not) which sends a message to the TCCM to send power to the Actuator. When it was stuck in 4 low I would take out the fuse ( on left side of dash) for the four wheel drive and wait for a minute or so and it would reset itself. Had the switch replaced but that was not the problem. Took it to the dealer and it turned out to be an actuator. I dont remember but think it was close to 300 bucks to have them fix it.
