When was the last year I bought a Dodge Dakota?
I’m sad 2011 was the last year of the Dakota because it’s the only mid sized truck you can get with a V8, manual transmission and 5.6ft bed paired with 4 doors. The only issue I’ve had is a substantial power steering fluid leak that recently began (rack n pinion I believe) but for this amount of mileage, it’s not the worst.
Is the 2006 Dodge Dakota worth the money?
All in all, with the $3500 I paid for this truck, replacing the exhaust gaskets, front struts, rear bumper and cleaned up nicely, it was well worth the money spent.

The wheel bearing constantly needs replacing and it’s rusting like crazy. It’s very reliable. But it also is starting to rust a lot. Dodge Dakota 2006. Reliable, comfortable, but bad gas mileage. Bad mileage but great relatability. I love the four wheel drive option and it is very spacious. The truck fits six people comfortable.
