How do I reset my battery gauge?
How do I reset my battery gauge?
Right-click on the battery icon in the lower right hand of the display and open the power options menu. Create a new power plan that does not allow the computer to shut down or go into standby or hibernation at all. The point of this plan is to make it fully draw down the battery to reset the gauge.
Why does my check gauge drop to zero check?
My check gauges light was also followed by a low voltage code the next day. One thing that I was looking into though was the temp sensor that is under the battery. It reads the temp of the battery and then sends a signal to the PCM on how much to charge. The other thing was maybe the regulator was bad in the PCM.
What should my battery gauge be at with engine off?
The battery is putting out plenty of volts on it’s own with engine off. Before the light comes on and the gauge falls to 0, my battery gauge hovers at 12; meaning, the needle will move to just before or just after the 12V hash line intermittently
When does the check gauge light come on?
The Check Gauges light will only come on after it’s hit third gear and has been running in it for a least 10 seconds. I tested this for about 5 minutes riding around my neighborhood in 1st and 2nd trying to keep it under 3rd. Once I hit the main streets, the light came on within 10-15 seconds. I tried this twice.
What causes the voltage gauge to drop to zero?
Double check the plug to your altinator and the one hot wire going to it. Had the same problem a while back, except for the lights flickering. Would like to say I have an answer for you but I don’t becasue my problem went away soon after. It happened though when I was driving one time in an extreme down pour.
