My ’05 also did that a couple of times, driving down the road and the dash lights go out for several seconds, also no gauges, then pop right back on. Also, started it one night, all dash lights are flashing, seatbelt/door chime chiming away furiously, no gauges.

It does not go completely black instantly. It ‘dims’ similar to the way the dimmer switch would, slowly, and usually ends up the way the dimmer would be if it was all the way to the bottom, where everything is almost completely black. The only thing i can barely see is the gear selector shows very dimly.

2005 Dodge Stratus, All lights will flicker really fast. Car runs beautifully, no problems except the dash lights will flicker really fast, the radio light will go out (but never resets the clock time) the headlights will flicker just like the dash lights.
