Why are the windows on my Dodge Challenger going up and down?
Why are the windows on my Dodge Challenger going up and down?
In my opinion, EVERY door on EVERY Challenger should be recalled. It’s just a matter of a cheap Chinese-made part, but they keep replacing it with the same defective part made by the same Chinese factory. A few more pennies spent to do something to prevent corrosion and eventual part failure is all that it would take.
Can a front passenger window go up on a Dodge Charger?
No up of down from the drivers switch to the front passenger window. However the the passenger switch only down. Got the window up by direct lower from the battery to the corresponding wires if the motor at the connector for the switch. Tried a new driver switch no luck. Bout to try a new passenger switch Have some what the same issues.
Are there any recalls on Dodge Challenger door handles?
IIRC there was a recall for the door handles on 2011+ modes that related to this behavior, have you checked to see if yours has any open recalls or campaigns on it? I found no bulletins for the 2013 Challenger for this.

How do you do window calibration on a Dodge?
PS key on, (not sure on if engine running is required) Hold down button until motor bottoms outs for i believe 5 seconds, then hold button up (door closed!!!) until motor botton/tops out and hold for approx 5 seconds. should be all it takes. I think the actual procedure says 3 to 10 seocnds or something like that.
What to do if your car windows are going up and down by themselves?
Open the door, pull the string, pop the trunk, reattached the battery, start the car, redo the procedure at home and repeat the next morning and day. One week of that convinced me to have it fixed ASAP. It’s still outrageous that Chrysler lets this problem fester.
Why does my car window go up and down?
Having that window go up and down, draining my battery, was a pain. I unhooked the battery after work, reattached it to go to work, unhooked it at work, reattached it to drive home, repeat. I used a string cord looped around the trunk’s plastic safety pull handle and strung through the backseat to the front. The car was unlocked all day and night.
