Update: Had a 2nd event of sudden loss of power / no boost on the I20 just west of Atlanta on a weekend trip with my Sprinter 3500 (2006) Winnebago View (2007). Aborted trip and limped back on my own power to dealer in Canton, GA that has Service Department working on Saturdays.

Since the van had recently had a new turbo fitted, obviously no adjustment had been carried out to the actuator stroke, it was just swapped over from the old turbo to the new one. After correct adjustments, road tests proved max boost was in the normal range (2447 mb absolute / 21 psi) and expected performance restored.

My sprinter also runs a bit hotter above 80 outside with A/C running, especially climbing hills (even gentle ones) as the turbo is running due to fuel useage to keep up speed.
