Why are the headlights not working on my 96 Dodge?
Have a 96 that burnt the switch and wiring harness. They replaced it with the exact same switch. Not sure, the dealer said my buddie coule but a switch when his fried in his 96 and they would instakk it for like $100. So we went off to used parts and picked ne up for $20 and did soem serious soldering.
Why are the lights not working on my Dodge truck?
This is a known issue on the 94-98.5 trucks with the push/pull headlight switch. The fix is a new switch (may be the same switch) but an extra harness that bypasses the switch itself with the full voltage. I believe there is a relay that uses the switch to activate power direct to the lights.

What happens if the head light switch fails?
If the headlight switch completely fails it may prevent all of the vehicle’s lights from functioning. You may find that when you go to turn on the headlights, none of the modes will turn on any of the lights.

Why are my headlights not working in high beam?
If just one bulb fails to work in either high beam mode or low beam mode, it may be the bulb. Most headlight failures that are limited to just high or low beams are related to a relay or the high beam control switch.
