The problem returned. The “no bus” is a result of the loss of the VSS voltage from the computer. I ordered a computer that came programed, ready to go. I installed it and have had no other problems. While the ignition switch had overheated contacts, replacing it was not the cure.

Wiggling the wires at the Integrated power module and PCM seemed to help but eventually it refused to crank at all. Problem was traced back to a worn through PCM B+ wire.
