Why are my passenger side vents blowing hot air?
The driver’s side is blowing almost uncomfortably hot air. Meanwhile both passenger’s side vents are blowing cool air. However, if I fiddle around with the temperature control I can get the vents on the passenger’s side to blow warm air.

Turned of the blower with the car running . turned both controllers to cold and then to hot at the same time, three times. Turned on the blower and lord and behold it worked. Try this: Start the van with both dual air pre-dialed to cold, then once on try slowly turning both knobs in synchronous to hot. Then back down to cold, then up to hot. Slowly. I’ve also heard to try this while driving (obviously as the passenger) This vehicle was purchased brand new in July 2014.

it is not the blend door .the blend door controls the blending of inside and outside air intake only. 2010 dodge journey heater blows hot on drivers side and Coold on the passenger side. Took it to the dealer ask them to change the bad acucurarator. They said it was good and working like it should. So I looked at it myself and it is working.

Passenger side was always kicking out heat, regardless of where the knob was turned. (It had nothing to do with the fan knob.) I turned the passenger knob from hot to cold a few times and the heat did stop.

The heater core covers the area of air box that sends air to left and right chambers.
