Desserts for Easter

This year Easter has sprung on us quick! Aside from the normal carrot cake and traditional Easter desserts, we wanted to offer presentation and taste to your holiday table. With the help of Heidi Hope Photography we were able to capture some really great photos of our Easter cakes. Check out Heidi’s facebook page too!

I have been following your site now for a year and I have to praise you for the
Beauty and professionalism that your site has. It outshines every other
Pastry, Bakery, etc., and just for the lack of wording to call your store. It is “TOP NOTCH” as far as I can see and I have been to a lot in many states from here
To Arizona and no one even comes close to putting out the caliber of sweets
That you and your mom do. You both outshine Buddy the Cake Boss. Everything is so beautiful. One thing, you don’t have where you are located. Will you tell me so I can come and spend all Charlie’s money lol.

G’s Ballerina Princess dessert table

When Heidi Hope called and asked us to create a dessert table for her daughter’s 4th birthday party- we were super excited! As soon as she told me it was a princess-ballerina theme I immediately went to work. I have wanted to create a ballerina table for a while and now I can officially check that off the list! This dessert spread was near to my heart as I have watched G grow up before my eyes. She is not just an ordinary 4 year old girl- she is a princess ballerina at heart. The best part of my day was watching her big blue eyes light up when they brought her over to the table. Princess G- this is for you.

Heidi Hope photography blew up photos from G’s cake smash earlier on in the week so we could use them as a backdrop for her actual birthday party!

Cupcakes adorned with ballerina paper dolls from Meri- Meri.

Cake stands were also from Meri- Meri. We used tulle around the paper ballerinas to add some dimension.

The cake designs were inspired by the patterns on the cake plates.

French macarons were adorned with crowns made out of ribbon. Chocolate covered pretzels are a must!

Pearl gumballs, sixlets, and strawberry puffs were some of the candies guests could fill their bags with!

First Day of SPRING!

Since today is the first day of SPRING (and the fact that the weather makes me feel like I should be sitting on the sand with the waves crashing at my feet)- I decided what better than to fill the sad looking planters in the front of the shoppe. Aside from baking and making chocolates, my favorite thing in the whole WIDE world is to plant flowers. I pulled up to the wholesale garden shoppe- as I do more than 5 times a weak- but this time in no rush at all. I walked the whole store front to back 3 times- not because I was lost and didn’t know what I wanted, but simply because I wanted to inhale all the inspiration that surrounded me. Wall to wall is covered with different kinds of flowers from around the globe. I start visually planning parties and events in my head. Today I picked simple. It’s spring so I will change out a few things by summer but in the matter of minutes my planters were transformed. Here’s what I picked: Sorry for the photos as these were all taken with my cell phone.

now it was back to the shoppe and (i don’t even want to post this) but look how AWFUL the planters looked this winter: YIKES!
